Peer into the mind of Dan as he tries to build an MP3 Player for his PDA and searches for the next thing in his life be it an electrical engineering job or graduate school.
So I was checking my mail on hotmail (I know, I know) when all of a sudden a login screen comes up from global.msads.net asking me to log in. What the heck!? It now seems to be doing it with the BBC website as well only a different domain server-uk.imrworldwide.com
I came across this article that shows you how to setup a simple network with win2000, winXP, and win98. Its an interesting site at the same time.

More so than Michael Jackson. I always get the creeps when I see that TV commercial for stuff with Bobby Vinton. Somehow I start picturing insane asylums with padded white walls and buzzing fluorescent lights. I was just talking with Chrissy for over an hour and a half about music and crooning came up. I don't know why but a certain type of crooning just scares me... if you've ever heard Bobby Vinton's rendition of 'Blue Velvet' you'll have an idea.
We installed and completed the P2 166 dad got yesterday. It sort of tripped up when I pulled the CD out too early and it started to balk at me for not installing a CD drive (when it had just used it to install the rest of Windows). Anyways a quick reinstall fixed it and we're back on our feet. I'm trying to see how hard it might be to setup a network so that the computers not only share the router but also do a whole network thing... I'm slightly concerned because there'll be three different Operating systems on it and it just sounds more intimidating.
Almost as much as I hate the initial hellos. I was talking with Kristi for a good period of time today. We talked about everything under the sun, engineering, university, mountain climbing, EXCEPT for the goodbyes. I think we both hate it and avoid it as much as possible. Good friends indeed can just pick up a conversation even if it was over a month ago. We talked for over three hours!!
I figured out how to burn a proper MP3-cd for my Samsung CD-YEPP... again. Before I was getting bad album names or headings that didn't make any sense like "OO" instead of "Yoyo" !?! Anyways you have to burn the CD in Mode 1, Joliet, ISO 9660 and everything will work out.
Went to the driving range yesterday-it needs work :P I can hit the little rubber nub fine, but when it comes to hitting the actual ball... I seem to pull back. Alex on the other hand, seemed to be doing quite fine. I also broke out the blades, its about time... Turning right no problem, turning left... needs work :P
I guess the official way to install GnuPG on Cygwin is to install it as a package. Although this probably isn't recommended to the hardcore (I can feel your cringes right now), for a temporary solution this should work. To do this you must:
Voila, that's how you install the Gnupg package on Cygwin. Of course, it causes you to wonder, why on earth would it be so difficult to compile and build a program on Cygwin? It took forever for me to find it :P
So I'm trying to install Gnupg on Cygwin, only it doesn't seem to work. It seems to fail on the make command. I found this italian page on what looks to be the same problem only their suggestions don't seem to work either... gah!!!
