Back from the flames

We got back from BC all safe and sound, actually it was really good timing since we left Kelowna just as the mountainside was evacuated. Vancouver was more than fun, I think I may be falling in love with the city (is that possible?). The atmosphere, the people, the sushi... It was sad when we saw a few houses burnt down outside of Kamloops. I have no words to say. I mean on the one hand I think we were slightly worried about our house back in St. Albert being broken into but having some objects stolen is nothing compared to having everything disappear.

Today was the second time I gave a crash-course in HTML. I was able to do it in thirty minutes-that's still not as fast as the first time when I taught PRi in like fifteen minutes. I'm thinking I should probably make some tutorial... oh wait I have one. I probably need to spruce it up with a title like "Learn HTML in 15 minutes!"

I was at Virgin the other day (hehe I love Vancouver) trying to look up a new CD. I had no idea what artist, nor what song, I just wanted a certain style. The thing is all the music stores probably HAVE to separate the songs into general categories like Classical, Techno, Pop whatever but they don't further subdivide it. This is extremely annoying so I thought why don't they have the ability to find similar songs or similar styles of songs. Like if I pick up a 'Beady Belle' CD I want to find out if there are any other artists who have a similar Jazz/Funk style-I haven't found one that does that yet soooo maybe its time. Maybe.
