Peer into the mind of Dan as he tries to build an MP3 Player for his PDA and searches for the next thing in his life be it an electrical engineering job or graduate school.
Even with all of Blogger's new free features, I still manage to lose a blog entry... I rock! :P
I just came across TightVNC which allows you to take control of computers using the net. It has everything I want because sending and installing the program is dead simple and the computer you're controlling doesn't even need to fool around with the firewall settings! Its very nicely done because you don't even need to worry about the remote computer's IP or anything like that. You only need to know your own (that's if you're controlling the remote) and tell the remote computer to add your IP as a client. Voila! Simple as that!
I was talking with Andrew and he was mentionning how he just recently bought Macromedia Flash 2004 MX. Although Flash is extremely cool, I mean with a suffix like "MX" what else can you ask for! Make no mistake-I love Flash for what you can do but I don't like to use it for my webpages. I don't have a laptop but I almost always can get a connection to the net. Can you update a Flash site without Flash? Not likely. If you know HTML and CSS you can cleanly and quickly update your site. Try changing one link in Flash as opposed to changing it in HTML. The other point Andrew raised was that CSS won't work in older web browsers... that's the point. At least they'll still be able to see everything and they don't need to have certain system settings. Personally I think content is always more important than presentation, because in the end its what people read not what they see. Unless you're an artist-in that case, forget all of that!
