Peer into the mind of Dan as he tries to build an MP3 Player for his PDA and searches for the next thing in his life be it an electrical engineering job or graduate school.
BookLink was disconnected for the longest time (nearly all of the past week). I wasn't exactly sure why, but Gail was mentionning that it had already been slowing down the week before and then it crawled to a halt. It happened around the same time the SCO website got DOSed... hmm related?
My friend and I have officially started our entry for the ctc programming contest, I'm kind of excited but there's so much to do its nearly overwhelming... nearly. Its a lot like work though, so I treat it like work. The most difficult part will be learning a multitude of new things and applying them right away. So much for having a holiday :P
I've been playing around with Visual Studio .Net for the past few days (2.5 GB!!!) who could have thought that it would have been so huge! I'm having some problems figuring out how to compile a DLL for a project. You can 'build the solution' but that's just not the same as compiling-or if it is, I haven't been able to find it.
"Dan, do you know of any good sites that review **** <garbled> matrix?"
"Wha?.... matrix as in the product?"
"Yeah <garbled/static/cutin/cutout> makers"
"I didn't know Matrix was a product"
"HAHAHAHA Breadmakers dude... breadmakers!"
All of this on the cellphone... now usually whenever I talk to people on the cell, I'm never in front of a computer. With the exception of like general Windows stuff, Photoshop, Flash, and Office, I can't really do much on a cell phone. So I recommended to my friend to search some online merchant site. I guess that didn't turn out to well. You either end up with sites that list breadmakers, or manufacturer's website which although are very pretty, are absolutely useless.
So then I get home:
"Dan, we're thinking about buying a digital camera... what do you think?"
"Umm yeah, that would be cool"
"Do you know any websites that review cameras?"
Two times in a day! I must have some giant blinking neon sign saying 'School's Out' on the top of my head. I can't complain though, I got to look at digital cameras :D :D
So, sites for camera people:1 2 Handy Resolution Chart
Sites for breadmaker people:1 2 3
Its eerie how close breadmaker site #2 looks like breadmaker site #3... maybe I should report it to Pirated Sites
