Its fairly cheap these days to buy a domain name, I have a domain name, some friends have domains of their own... it has become the asian cell phone gadget. I listed my reasons for having one (27 characters versus 9) but my friend recently bought a domain name. Now that's fine and dandy but you really do need a webpage... something to hold its place. The site he bought it at doesn't offer hosting, on the other hand, mine does. So we're now trying to set it up so that the domain points to his computer (he can host his website on his own computer). I came across this tutorial which refers to Zoneedit's free service (for the first five 'zones' or domains). To use Zoneedit you'll need to know how to change the dns server names.
