Removing "Windows Messenger"
It's not as easy as you'd think. The main problem is that Microsoft believes that Messenger is a 'core' service. Similar to Windows Explorer (the program you use to open folders and stuff) while one is essential to using your computer (Explorer) the other is not. Messenger has this bad habit of faking an uninstall-it'll appear to uninstall itself but in reality it reverts to a lower version :P So what to do? Well it depends on what you have running but you can download a program or if you're more of the hands on kind of person you can do it manually. :D Hope that helps!
